An exhibition celebrating 50 years of commercial television in the Midlands has been declared a major success, according to figures released today.
The exhibition "From There to Here" was produced by Upshon Media for Birmingham Council and ITV Central. It attracted more than 62,000 visitors to the city's Museum and Art Gallery.
Head of the city's museum service Reyhan King said it worked out at nearly 1,000 people a day - bettering the average visitor figure for exhibitions at the museum.
Upshon Media created the content for the museum - including writing, producing and editing video sequences for nine themed zones, each depicting different aspects of commercial television from its start in 1955 through to 2005.
